This Master of the Catholic University San Antonio of Murcia (UCAM) is aimed at graduates and / or graduates in Dentistry who want to make a specific training, focused on Orthodontics.

With the completion of this postgraduate course, students will learn in detail all the treatment philosophies in the specialty of orthodontics, which will allow them to be prepared to diagnose the different alterations of malocclusions and to be able to apply therapeutic procedures with removable, functional and fixed appliances. In addition, throughout the training, they will be able to acquire firm criteria to diagnose by means of coherent and logical treatment plans, being able to apply all the knowledge acquired in the practical modules, with patients in the clinic.

This European Master tries to combine therapeutic training based on scientific evidence, with clinical protocols and the latest technology in digital records (intraoral scanner, CBCT, 3D digital smile design, occlusal simulation programs, STL file management, set up and virtual mock up, invisible appliances, polymeric aligners, etc.). All this must be accompanied by a deep knowledge of Craniofacial Growth and Dentofacial Orthopedics, with an interdisciplinary approach.

The Postgraduate Program in Orthodontics is developed from a 1st Cycle, preclinical, in Madrid, with a duration of three years that are studied part-time. It is an ideal training for university graduates who want to develop a specialization from the basics of knowledge of Orthodontics to obtain the European Master’s Degree in this area.

Likewise, this training program contemplates the possibility for all those professionals who can prove proven experience in orthodontics through other degrees, who can access the European Master’s Degree starting from the 2nd Cycle in Almeria, Malaga, Madrid, Barcelona or Seville. To this period, complementary training will be added until the 180 ECTS credits are obtained.

To complete the program, the European Master in Orthodontics will provide the required theory and practice, with continuous evaluation throughout each academic year and at the end of the training period, students will present the development of a Master’s Thesis to be defended orally at the UCAM (Universidad Católica San Antonio).
