Professorship for Training and R&D in Clinical Odontology

The Professorship of Training and R&D in Clinical Dentistry was created by UCAM on 13 June 2017, under the direction of Dr. Aldo Lucero Sánchez. Its main task is training. It develops various postgraduate degrees that aim to train dentists in the fields of oral surgery, periodontics, oral rehabilitation and aesthetic dentistry, among others. To this end, Postgraduate in Dentistry UCAM counts on the presence of speakers of recognised national and international prestige.

In addition to teaching, the Professorship for Training and R&D in Clinical Dentistry also has research purposes. Scientific work is carried out in different areas of dentistry, with the aim of improving and simplifying existing techniques in order to be able to apply them in daily clinical practice and optimise treatment results.

The UCAM Professorship for Training and R&D in Clinical Dentistry bases its objectives on postgraduate clinical training and the development of high quality research projects. All of this through the collaboration of professionals of undoubted prestige.

Thus, those students who are part of the UCAM Postgraduate courses in Dentistry have our full support to develop clinical experimentation projects, such as doctoral theses and publications in journals of impact, among others.

Professorship of Aesthetic Adhesive Dentistry

Dr. Sidney Kina has been appointed Director of the Professorship of Aesthetic Adhesive Dentistry at UCAM, during the PgO UCAM Day, held on July 5, 2019.In the celebration of this same event, Dr. Kina has received the position of Academic Director of the Master in Oral Rehabilitation, Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry and New Technologies, developed by Postgraduate in Dentistry UCAM.

The main objectives of this Professorship in Adhesive Aesthetic Dentistry are to provide highly specialised teaching to postgraduate students and to develop research work in the most important areas of Minimally Invasive Aesthetic Dentistry.

This professorship aims to hold seminars, workshops, round tables and other educational events with the intention of encouraging the development of doctoral studies by UCAM postgraduate students in Dentistry.

These activities will be carried out in the fields of aesthetic dentistry, minimally invasive adhesive rehabilitation and dental materials. This will be supported and tutored by Dr. Sidney Kina, Director of the Professorship and a world leader in ceramic laminate treatments.

In addition, students will be assisted by other professionals of national and international prestige in these areas so that they can achieve maximum professional excellence.

Dr. Kina is an international lecturer and editor of some of the leading journals in dental aesthetics. He is also the author of several books on the subject. PgO UCAM is honoured to have Dr. Kina as a member of its teaching staff and to offer his extensive knowledge and experience to students.
